Caroline Constas
Just when we thought bird season was over, they unexpectedly flocked back in for another season. Constas’s SS14 collection was inspired by the art of travel, combining classic pieces with elements of European style. Constas brought the spotlight back to the skirt suit, accessorizing with a bird print neckerchief. The neckerchief is also a new member to the trend family, and we were excited to see Constas incorporate in a chic and sophisticated manner.
Eve Gravel
All hail the Aztec princess. Eve Gravel’s SS14 collection was a plethora of Aztec prints on prints embellished with neon accents. This collection was just the eclectic vibe we were anticipating on for the SS14 season. We also can’t forget to mention the return of distressed denim. Gravel featured a new version of distressed denim, or what we like to call the shredded jean. What do you think, would you wear the shredded jean?
Martin Lim
This collection was by far one of the most peculiar of them all. Martin Lim’s SS14 collection featured a rather odd variety of garments from jellyfish prints, to a dress that’s comparable to a chic pillowcase and lastly a tribute to Beetlejuice’s iconic striped wardrobe. Although the components of Martin Lim’s SS14 collection were of a strange variety, it brought a unique creation to the runway. The collection was inspired by love for the sea combined with urban life, creating a look that’s both comfortable and bold.

Impair
As IMPAIR took the runway; the message that Stephanie was intending to portray was easily depicted. Dress like a woman, act like a boss. IMPAIR’s SS14 collection put a feminine spin on menswear, introducing a new lineage for the future of women’s work wear. The collection featured the classic blazer and tailored pant accompanied with soft floral prints. We’ve been anticipating a breakthrough for women’s luxurious, elegant work wear and this just might be the beginning of it.
Brit Wacher
The duality of black and white has proven itself to be of popular demand once again. Brit Wacher’s SS14 collection features a plethora of black and white that embodies abstraction through the use of flowing shapes, bold detailing and subtle lines. Wacher is taking fashion to great lengths for the SS14 season in a literal manner as her long, flowing dresses and skirts swept over the runway. We’re excited to see the return of the maxi for the SS14 season, back in black Wacher style.
Marilyn Baril
This just in, the bell-bottom has made reappearance on the trend radar for the SS14 season and it’s ready to make a statement. Baril’s SS14 collection featured a rare, but unique, collaboration of burnt orange and pale blue colors. It’s a combination we have yet to see for the SS14 season, but we’ve grown fond of it rather quickly. Baril followed neutral suit as most have done, but unlike others her collection had that color pop we’ve all been waiting for.
